Shirt: Projecting the Moment

This is a shirt I made for the auditions of American Idol. It is supposedly depicting me projecting the moment which I want to transport to.
The producers of the show liked my work but I believe that it might have coma across to them as too forward.
I still believe that the scene int the painting will be a reality. We crate our own realities and from the illusions of need do we build them. We are creating ourselves anew in every living moment of our lives. Dreams DO come true. I will feel that inner glow in me and illuminate it upon the world to return to the oneness of life.

IF: Primitive

This is my entry for illustration friday! Finally i had the inspiration to create again. I did miss drawing. No matter what drawing and art will always be a part of the grandest version of Who I Am.

I made the drawing specifially for the theme "Primitive". When I saw the theme I thought about the many native indigenous people that I'd see in many countries including my own (the Philippines) and how they have many primitive ways. Ways which are full of wisdom and remind us of how to BE as humans with natural instincts and ways which are the exact opposite as well thus explains the war face on this mans expressive look. Many tribes although very in touch with their spiritual selves have still gained egoic mind states and clannish characteristics. Tribes have engaged in wars and battles to keep their concept of "survival" intact.

Nonetheless, we too, the people of the 20th century are somewhat the same. By observing the primitive we observe how we have evolved and how some aspects of us remain unchanged. We becoome our own observers as a whole human race.

Hope you guys like it! :)

What I Live For

"Amplify"
by Samantha Jacinto
(Poster Paint on Paper)
This is one of my older artpieces..... I amtrying to update my portfoilio... I did this for an English project in Senior High. I kept it coz it really does still reflect my ambitions and interests as a person and it describes my current attitude towards the events that happen to me. The shattered glass represents the little particles of myself divided into experiences that float around space with the amplified music til it has no choice but to drop making all the little pieces end up having the same fate as all the rest. each one of the pieces drop. There is no exception.
Half electric guitar half classical. these are facets of my personality. I love both kinds of sounds each of these instruments produce.
I am now saving up to get both eventually. Let us make more music too share with the world!

Tuscan Painting

"Tuscany"
by Samantha Jacinto
(Acrylic on Canvas)

Here is a Tuscan painting that my sister Gwen made me finish before I left for the States. Its so funny because I did start eh painting weeks before my intended departure but then, I totally forgot about it and basically crammed the finishing touches up until the morning of my departure! but I guess it still did turn out ok. I have to work on shadows though.

I did not conceive of the whole concept. I based it on a tuscan painting that my sister showed me for a reference of the kind of look she wanted for the painting. She sis not like the colors of the original one though so I made it brighter. Now it best fits her personality and the colors of her house too...

I hope that by starting off with a painting before I leave, I can start of my new life, new year here in America very artistically. I wish to eventually get a job that jives with my intended course in College. I think I am pretty set on GD since it consistently pops up on my list anyhow and it is the mere truth within me. I want to take extra courses on animation after....

I planned it all out and most probably I will post it by the start of the next year in my other blog. Hope you guys like this! :)
